Not sure how Gap made their size chart but it's ridiculously inaccurate. I ordered size XXL (14-16) regular for my son who just turned 11!!! and these pants are short and tight. Since my kid does best with soft materials, I was excited to see these described as "soft" and "stretch." Unfortunately, what I received is neither soft nor stretch, but a typical twill material that my kid will definitely not wear.
