I purchased the yellow & twig green in size 29 (8) R which is my usual size. Description says fitted through the waist & hips which they are. A tad snug but I think the next size would be too big, also the green are softer & a little looser than the yellow. Most off is the length, a R size says 31" ...inseam, mine are both 29 1/2" which is petite according to the sizing. Makes it tough when they don't have what you want in the store. Still deciding on these!
I measured myself according to the size guide and ordered what I thought would be one fitted size to sit at my waist and one looser to sit at my hips. The looser size, which is labeled as a 33 inch waist is actually a 40 inch waist and the legs are so insanely wide I could probably conceal at least ...2 small children inside each pant leg. The smaller size, labeled as a 31 inch waist is actually a 36 inch waist. So I guess just do what the gap does and don't actually measure anything, just use your intuition to label the size and take a guess when you order, but actually size down by at least two sizes vs your actual measurements. Sucks bc now all the other sizes are sold out and had they fit they might have actually been cute in Y2K massively baggy jeans kind of way. So thanks Gap, for trying to convince people they're smaller than they are by weirdly messing with your size labels. I knew there was a reason I haven't shopped here in years.

I love these jeans! They are super soft and light weight; the PERFECT summer jean for Houston's hot summers! My only wish is that the "regular" length was a tad longer. For this 5'5" gal, they are a tad short when wearing with platform sandals, like Birkenstock's Arizona platform.

Size down 1 size, I'm 5'3" and 132lbs decided on the sz.26. The petit was a crop length. Reg fit a bit long but decent. Nice soft fabric.
