It's definitely black and white gingham, not navy. Side zipper is pointless as back is smocked. This is a really cute dress. I think the top was a little loose and the zipper was a bit hard to pull up near the top. Otherwise it's a great dress for going out or an event that calls for a nicer dress.

low rating solely because the bubble hem didn't sit correctly. Maybe could have been fixed with ironing but not sure. It "sagged" at a portion at the front. Other than that, the fabric and print was cute. I really wanted a small print navy and white gingham for holidays like July 4th but will need to keep looking.
